Gene Simmons Family Jewels is an American reality television series that premiered on A&East on Baronial 7, 2006. Information technology follows Kiss bassist and vocaliser Gene Simmons, his longtime partner and wife Shannon Tweed, and their 2 children, Nick and Sophie.
"It is very much similar The Osbournes," Simmons noted. "But I believe that people will see us on television and see how I run things and the rules I brand, and they'll think, 'Put that guy in charge!'"[1]
Although information technology is presented as a reality series, some events shown did not actually occur. One of these was in the finale of Season three: the viewer is led to believe Gene purchased the Australian Football team Carlton Football Society. In reality, at that place is no tape of the team being sold to him. Additionally, the episode shows Simmons convincing Brendan Fevola to join Carlton Football Gild, while in reality Fevola had been playing for Carlton since he was drafted in 1998.[2] Other events include casting biker extras, every bit well as a chip histrion in the show.[3]
Prior to the third flavour, the serial was the 2d highest rated series on A&E, behind Dog the Bounty Hunter.[iv] In Australia, the series is shown on The Biography Channel every Midweek at 8:xxx pm on Foxtel and Austar. It is also shown on the free to air channel 7mate. The first three seasons were played back to back ending on April 1, 2009. Seasons i-5 have been released on DVD. Flavour six premiered on June 14, 2011 on A&E[5] with the episode "Breaking Up Is Difficult To Practise." In addition to relationship troubles between Simmons and Tweed, that culminated in the two marrying, the season shows Simmons' March 2011 visit to Israel. Subsequently the show'southward almost successful season ever, Gene Simmons Family unit Jewels returned for its seventh flavor on Mon, May 28, 2012, with a special one-hour premiere. In Baronial 2012, A&E announced the seventh season would be the terminal, and Simmons added that he would not shop the series to other networks and, instead, volition focus on the Kiss tour and other business commitments.[6]
